Queensland recently hosted the lavish but short-lived Steven Spielberg-produced TV series Terra Nova. “Productions such as The Railway Man filming on location in Queensland have multiple additional benefits, including boosting tourism and employment.” Screen Queensland has invested AUD700,000 in The Railway Man through its production programme, following initial development investment in 2009. The production will generate an estimated AUD6.3 million expenditure and 235 employment opportunities for Queensland cast and crew.
